Read and write Excel 2016 (or Office365) sheet including Power Pivot model with Python

Question

Does someone know how to read and write Excel 2016 workbooks containing PowerPivot model with Python? Currently I can do it with win32com but that does not run on Linux platform. Openpyxl or Pandas are good but those forget to read/write model folder (from the zip file) containing item.data file
