Load an ipa file on iphone

Question

I build an app. I have created an "ad hoc distribution profile". Now I want to load my app (.ipa file) on iPhone and iPad. I registered 3 devices: 1 iPad with iOS 9.3.5, and 1 iPad with iOS 14 and iPAD with iOS 14. I load the app with iTunes in a successfully way on iPad with iOS 9.3.5- But I can not load on iPad with iOS 14 and on iPAD with iOS 14. When I try alway return failed. I don't know how to load app (ipa file) on iPad with iOS 14 and iPAD with iOS 14. I have to load only ipa file or I have to load also other files (as certificate)? I have to add with iTunes the provisioning profile? Information: I use Xcode12 to create .ipa and itunes 12.11 to load ipa file on devices.
