bootstrap datepicker - input box with icon on the right corner and NOT span

Question

wanted to display a calendar icon(.gif) in the right corner of input box. clicking either the input box or icon should open the date-picker.

found quite a few with span tags but none with .gif or .png icon, especially in the right corner of the input box.
